ISO 45001 has now been published and is the world’s first OHS international Standard and provides emphasis on proactively taking steps to minimise harm to workers through leadership and participation, understanding the context of the business taking action to manage risks.

ISO 45001 – Standard document structure
Based on the same structure as ISO 9001:2015 (Quality) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environment), ISO 45001 Standard places a broader focus on the ‘context’ of an organisation and requires greater involvement from management. Additionally, ISO 45001 is intended to:
Be applicable to any organisation
Enable efficient integration into existing management systems
Allow integration with all aspects of health and safety such as worker wellbeing
Provide a framework to help meet OHS legal obligations including ‘due diligence’

Currently certified to OHSAS 18001 or AS/NZS 4801?
We will contact you to discuss your pathway to migrate.
Until then your audit activities will continue as scheduled. Whilst a 3 year period for migration is anticipated, this is yet to be confirmed by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). After the migration period, it is likely that AS/NZS 4801:2001 and OHSAS 18001 will be withdrawn.

ISO 45001 – Foundation Course

ISO 45001 Foundation training enables you to learn the basic elements to implement and manage an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) as specified in ISO 45001. During this training course, you will be able to understand the different modules of an OHSMS, including OHSMS policy, procedures, performance measurements, management commitment, internal audit, management review and continual improvement.

ISO 45001 – Lead Implementer Course

ISO 45001 is the first global Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard that replaces OHSAS 18001. The ISO 45001 Lead Implementer training enables you to develop the necessary expertise to support an organization in establishing, implementing, managing and maintaining an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) based on ISO 45001. During this training course, you will also gain a thorough understanding of the best practices of an OHSMS and be able to apply them in an organization in order to continually improve its performance and ensure the well-being of employees by providing a safe and healthy workplace.

ISO 45001 – Lead Auditor Course

ISO 45001 is the first global Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard that replaces OHSAS 18001. The ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training enables you to develop the necessary expertise to perform an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) audit by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques. During this training course, you will acquire the knowledge and skills to plan and carry out internal and external audits in compliance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 certification process.
